Proyecto Bulbo

Proyecto Bulbo is a Peruvian event promoter founded in 2013 by Diego Hidalgo and Isabel Elías as a cultural project to develop a venue. Before establishing Casa Bulbo, it organised Fiesta Bulbo, bringing electronic music together with theatre, dance, visual art and other performance. Its wider programme has featured indie and folk bands, jazz, and digital arts.

Proyecto Bulbo runs Casa Bulbo, a cultural venue at Avenida Francisco Bolognesi 660 in Barranco, Lima, and has also held events at Bulbo. Its music programme ranges from house and techno to drum & bass. Recurring Casa Bulbo events include Sfera and Melaza, alongside Noche de las Creadoras, a Wednesday programme for independent women artists presenting theatre, dance or literature. The project also brings music together with performing, visual and plastic arts, and promotes technology and reuse in artistic practice. Casa Bulbo hosts Cenital, a project for research and development at the venue.
