PRSPCT

PRSPCT began in Rotterdam in 2002, founded by Gareth de Wijk, also known as Thrasher. Its earliest parties took place in Nighttown’s 350-capacity basement; in 2004, the series moved into the venue’s main hall under the name PRSPCT XL. The event later transferred to Waterfront and WATT before reaching Maassilo. PRSPCT has also held events at Worm, Club Catwalk and Factory 010, and organized club nights across Europe. The promoter operates a booking agency and five sub-labels.

Its events center on hard drum and bass and hardcore, with punk, gabber and drum and bass among the influences. Nocturne has appeared on event line-ups. PRSPCT became a label in 2005, with its debut release featuring DJ Hidden’s The Resonators and Limewax’s Pain. Sub-labels launched from 2011 include PRSPCT SUB for dubstep, RVLT for breakcore and XTRM for hardcore; PRSPCT LTD is another imprint. By 2023, the label had released more than 300 records.
