RUN DA BASS

RUN DA BASS is a club night operating in Osaka and the wider Kansai area, formed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Founding member kakepon started it with Kensei, who manages Triangle, to support the local scene while drawing on UK rave culture. The UK bass festival Balter provided inspiration, and the party’s focus includes drum and bass, jungle and related bass styles. DJs sanmal and NEKOSAN, also known as Taka Morph and MiST, are among the five people who run it.

Triangle hosts the regular party on the second Wednesday of each month, alongside occasional special weekend editions. Events use large sound systems: early parties featured Funktion-One, while later editions have used d&b audiotechnik and L-Acoustics systems. Guests have included IMANU, Deekline, DJ Hybrid and DJ Flight.
