Soul In Motion is a London club night promoted by Need For Mirrors. DJ Bailey and Joe Moses, known as Need For Mirrors, launched it in 2014 as a midweek drum-and-bass event. It first took place in a basement beneath a central London hotel, and in May that year it was billed as a monthly night. It later moved to the first and third Wednesdays of the month and in 2019 ran weekly at Orange Yard, with Bailey and Need For Mirrors alternating as residents.
The music spans drum and bass and jungle, with an emphasis on new, deeper selections. Bailey and Need For Mirrors curate and promote the night as well as play as residents. Its format places the DJ booth on the dancefloor in a dark room, keeping the music central. The name comes from a track by Krust. Soul In Motion has presented events at London venues including Phonox and The Glove That Fits, as well as at The Pickle Factory and Planet Wax.
Line-ups have featured Mantmast and DJ Lee, while a 2025 Phonox bill included Bryan Gee, Doc Scott and ST Files. In March 2026, Soul In Motion marked its 12th birthday with an event at Phonox. The promoter also runs Soul In Motion Records, a London drum-and-bass label. The label issued Bigos’s Stratos E.P. as SIM048.
