Subardo

Subardo is a bass-music crew and festival organiser operating in Leipzig, Germany. It began in 2018, when a group of Leipzig-based organisers came together to run a tent at Fusion Festival. The festival they developed in 2020 first took place in Olganitz, then moved to Altes Kieswerk in Luppa in 2024. Subardo is organised through Kulturverein Kulturfenster-Leipzig e.V., represented by Eva-Maria Stein, Jens Winter and David Wolfrum.

Its events have used Altes Kieswerk and Badesee Luppa in Saxony, and the crew has hosted a takeover at Let It Roll in Most, Czech Republic. The festival’s music has included drum and bass, jungle, dub, dubstep, garage, footwork, house and techno; its 2025 edition also had a Garage stage featuring hardgroove and techno. Artists booked have included Ivy Lab, Buunshin, Mystic State and Sweetpea. In 2022, a festival at Bungalowdorf Olganitz had two floors of electronic bass music, with sound systems from BassCultureAudio and DirtyLookinMobileDisco. Since 2023, the Leipzig crew has run Friday Bass Café during the colder months. Its fifth festival edition ran from 7 to 10 August 2025 at Altes Kieswerk, with three stages; Subardo cancelled its 2026 festival after construction plans at the Luppa site left no dates available.
