Swerve

DJ Fabio and Sarah Sandy established Swerve in London around soulful drum and bass and liquid funk. Fabio’s weekly Wednesday residency began at Velvet Rooms, the night’s first London venue, with DJs performing without MCs. The night shifted to The End’s lounge in 2003, Ruby Lo in 2009, and Cable & Relay in 2010, before later moving to Plan B and The Qube Project.

Its London events have also taken place at The Dogstar, Kolis London and Phonox. Past guests included LTJ Bukem, DJ Marky, Marcus Intalex and Grooverider. In February 2017, it began a monthly event at Westbank Gallery featuring soulful and liquid drum and bass. Its programme has also included the Summer So(u)lstice Session at the Music Room. After a hiatus, Swerve returned with a London event at Loki on 14 June 2024.
