Take a Break

Take a Break is a bass-music collective and event promoter based in London, with activity in Sardinia and the UK. Founded by UK-based producer and DJ Misura, it began in Sardinia before expanding to the UK. Its name refers to breakbeat rhythms, and its events have focused on drum and bass and jungle, alongside UK garage and breakbeat. The nights have been intimate and underground. Misura is also part of Lost Souls Productions.

In Sardinia, Take a Break has held events at El Barrio del Mar, Karma - Way of Life and Party Music Pub; in London, it has used Groovetank Live. Its events have included DJ sets and live performances, with shows also streamed on YouTube. Misura, Pipu, Moostatz and Ricochet have appeared on its line-ups. The Take a Break Sets series has recorded live performances at Groovetank in Bethnal Green, London, and the promoter has also hosted radio shows.
