Teletech

Teletech is a Manchester-based techno event promoter and record label. It began around 2017 with student house parties in Fallowfield, founded by Anton Stevens and Tom Shenton; its first event at Hidden led to Shenton working with Stevens at the venue. In 2018, its programme included electro and acid alongside techno, and a Manchester residents’ night featuring Jay Innes and Speedo. Its founders established the project in Manchester to contribute to the city’s techno scene and widen access to the genre. Programming has centred on international techno performers and emerging talent, with local acts included at events across different cities.

Teletech has run events at Hidden in Manchester, FORGE in Sheffield and The Cause in London. Charlie Sparks and TDJ are among its resident artists. In 2021, it launched XXL with Manchester’s Warehouse Project to expand into warehouse events and festivals. The founders developed XXL as part of plans to return to large events after COVID-19 shutdowns. Teletech held its debut festival at BEC Warehouse in Manchester on 6 August 2022, with indoor and outdoor stages.
