The Warehouse Project

The Warehouse Project began in Manchester in October 2006 as a series of club events, founded by Sam Kandel, Sacha Lord and Rich McGinnis. Its opening season ran from October 5, 2006, to January 1, 2007, starting at Boddingtons Brewery. The first party featured John Digweed, Steve Bug and Tania Vulcano, while the season’s programme also included Theo Parrish and Justice. Rather than operating from one permanent nightclub, the promoter stages events at venues around Greater Manchester.

After Boddingtons Brewery, the series moved to the former air-raid shelter on Store Street, then to Victoria Warehouse and later Depot Mayfield. Its events have also taken place at Concourse at Depot Mayfield and Live From Wythenshawe Park in Manchester, as well as Waagnatie Expo & Events in Antwerp. The events moved to the refurbished Mayfield Depot in 2019, and the project held its first event outside the UK in Rotterdam in 2023.

The Warehouse Project presents house, techno, trance and electro, along with live concerts. Artists at its events have included Andy C, Pola & Bryson, SICARIA and Camo & Krooked. Its annual season runs from September through New Year's Day, with occasional dates outside that period. In 2024, Sacha Lord sold his interest in the project to Live Nation.
