Totaal Rez

Totaal Rez is a nonprofit event association based in Lyon. Founded in the Lyon area in 2008, it began by promoting bass music and supporting emerging contemporary-music artists. The association also promotes visual artists. Its events have taken place at Club Transbo and Le Transbordeur in Lyon.

Its programming includes dub, dubstep, UK garage and drum & bass. Totaal Rez has run the Rumble Festival across venues in Lyon, bringing together local organisers, and launched the festival in 2011. It also operated Totaal Rez Record, a drum-and-bass label, and Totaal Dubz, a dubstep label, both releasing music digitally in 2012. Eptic has appeared on its event bills.

The association’s event brands include EZ!, for dubstep, and DUB ECHO, for dub; EZ! nights have been held monthly at Club Transbo since 2011, pairing international DJs with local artists. Other brands include High-lo, Le Bazar and Encore, covering urban music, pop, rock, electronic music and techno. Encore began in 2013 and has worked with Teletech on events in France since May 2023. Totaal Rez’s first Escape night took place at Le Petit Salon in Lyon in 2015, with house, hip-hop, chill and trap across two rooms. Its first concert at Halle Tony Garnier was Damso in autumn 2018, followed by Lomepal in spring 2019.
