TRIANGLE

TRIANGLE is an event promoter based in Osaka, Japan, and has held events at the Triangle club in the city’s Amerikamura district. The venue opened in 2002 at 2-18-5 Nishishinsaibashi, in the RIBIA building opposite Triangle Park. Spanning its third, fourth and fifth floors, the club contains three separate spaces; its name refers to both the park and its layout. Yoshinoka joined shortly before the opening and took part from the club’s launch. During its first two years, he organised drum-and-bass parties there, alongside bookings in other styles.

The club’s programming has covered hip-hop and electronic music, with Japanese performers and international artists touring Japan. Past bookings included Rhythm & Sound, Bad Company UK, KAGAMI and Felix Kröcher. In 2008, DJ and organiser KUNIMITSU began the monthly TetralogisticS series, which featured guests, Japanese artists and long resident-only sets. TetralogisticS also presented an indoor festival-style event at the former Namura Shipbuilding site, with Fumiya Tanaka and Ken Ishii among the performers.
