Wax Music Lounge · Melbourne, Australia
21:00 – 02:00

Wax Music Lounge is a Melbourne event promoter and basement venue at 250 Flinders Street, opposite Flinders Street Station. It was founded by Guy Roseby and Tim Bartold of Wax Museum Records, alongside Mark Lipshut of Spin Records, and opened in 2023. The venue grew out of Wax Museum Records, a Melbourne shop established in 2006, and has a capacity of 175.
Its programme includes DJs and live performers, with jungle events featuring local acts and bookings including Bass, Sistym and Sustance. The venue has also hosted improvisational jazz nights and performances by Japanese producer Grooveman Spot. A custom sound system was made by Australian audio designers Pitt & Giblin. Its WAX JAMS sessions have featured funk and soul, with rotating DJs and musicians on Sundays. Wax Museum Records relocated after Campbell Arcade closed in 2020 for Metro Tunnel works, and the move led to the lounge’s development.
