Weird Science

Weird Science is an independent event promoter based in London, with work spanning London and Birmingham. Its events have used XOYO and Corsica Studios in London, EartH, and XOYO Birmingham. A concept associated with Spectrum’s Pete Jordan and turntablist Santero combined hip hop, funk and bass-heavy music with a screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Line-ups have included Andy C, Cleveland Watkiss, Goldie and Grooverider.

The promoter’s own event brands include MADE Festival, Carnival Magnifico, A Weird & Wonderful and Legends. It oversees strategy, curation, bookings, promotion and logistics for RAM Records’ event brand internationally. For Red Bull Music’s projects in London, Weird Science developed concepts, selected line-ups and booked talent; these included Refractions at fabric and Odyssey on the River Thames. Refractions used all three of fabric’s rooms.
