WOMB · Tokyo, Japan

WombTokyo is the events arm of WOMB, the club at 2-16 Maruyama-cho in Shibuya, Tokyo. WOMB opened in 2000, with Junior Vasquez playing in April of that year, and the building spans four floors; its main floor rises through the second to fourth levels and uses a sound system sourced from New York. The club was remodelled in 2016.
WOMB’s programme brings international guests together with Japanese artists across techno, drum & bass and electro. Its resident party Session has run since 2001, and the annual indoor festival WOMB ADVENTURE began in 2008. The club has also taken WOMB TOKYO NIGHT events abroad. Recent WombTokyo line-ups have included DJ AKi, KEiTA, Kulage and YELLOCK.
