Xanadu

Xanadu is a New York City event promoter operating from Xanadu Roller Arts in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Founded by Varun Kataria, the venue opened on Starr Street on 2 July 2024, following his plans for a roller rink conceived in late 2022. Kataria also owned Turk’s Inn and the Sultan Room nearby. Xanadu combines roller skating with live music, club nights and performances in a 16,000-square-foot space designed for concerts and nightlife, with room for up to 1,200 people.

Its programme has covered electro, house, hip-hop and disco, alongside R&B events. Artists featured at Xanadu events include Dieselboy and samisosa. Recurring and themed events have included Brooklyn Dreams, curated by Sting International, and Illumination: Light Ball; Brooklyn Bounce has featured hip-hop and R&B, with separate nights for electro and house.
