Yamamori Tengu is a club behind a Japanese restaurant at 37 Strand Street Great in Dublin 1. It has operated since 2012 and opened to dancers in 2013; the Yamamori business is owned by the Ryan family. Its programme includes club nights, jazz, live performances and workshops, with local artists and collectives among those booked. Electronic-music events span techno, house, disco, funk and soul.
Artists who have played the club include Ben UFO, Calibre, Or:la and Sunil Sharpe. After the COVID-19 lockdowns, Yamamori Tengu started an in-house residency series, which included a Spray residency in 2024 and Dylan Fogarty’s three-show residency in 2025. The club also introduced Soundsystem Sunday, powered by Rub A Dub HiFi; its guests have included Mala and Double O.
The venue has a Funktion-One system and a Night-Time Monitor team. It added a second room, Kaizen Bar, with a separate sound system; the club space and outdoor smoking area can accommodate up to 200 people. In 2024, Yamamori Tengu won Safe Gigs Ireland’s “Soundest Venue” award.
