This mix offers the listener an amazing opportunity to enjoy a magical musical journey.
Marcus Intalexpresents his vision of contemporary drum and bass, full of feelings as deep as the ocean and as high as the clouds around mountain peaks. After listening to the mix once, you want to press play again to experience anew everything this music has to offer.
At the beginning of the recording, we are greeted by the gentle voice of reggae MCLariman, who suggests that we “sit down and start a meaningful conversation.” A smooth bassline and beat byCalibreaccompany his voice, after which the light melodies of digital pianos in “All The Days”lead us to another fresh talent —MC Kemowith music byLynxon the track“Global Enemies”. The subsequent energetic tracks fromCommix, Johnny LandAmaningwill make you move, even while sitting in a chair during a listening session at home. The deep bassline inSoulmatic’s “Self Belief”picks up the mood, followed by a dubwise track fromCalibrewith gentle but intelligent lyrics fromDRS. After another work byCalibrewe encounter fast jazz drums with saxophone in the background in the remix byTheoryofDeadly Habit’s “Synesthesia”.
In the middle of the mix, the saxophone gives way to a minimalist beat with a dub-influenced edge fromBreakage, creating a kind of interlude in the character of the music, which is extended by the dark sounds ofAlix Perez
& Lynx. Then the vibrating bass in a track byZero Tolerance brings us back to the light soulful moods that continue to develop alongside "Time To Fly".
And indeed, the composition by the Mistical Intalex project, with dynamic amen breaks and deep bass, creates an excellent groove reminiscent of flight, which continues with a dialogue between piano and sharp bass stabs from Duo Infernale. Flying onward, we plunge into the captivating atmosphere of "Pacific Heights". And once again, vocals appear from Kemo and Dennis Jones backed by a straightforward beat from Bango Collective on the track "Apocalypse". The record concludes with the soft moods of tracks by Mistical and by Alix Perez
& Sabre.
This magical musical experience is undoubtedly worth the attention of anyone interested in deep drum and bass sounds. If that sounds like you, I advise you to buy this CD immediately, without hesitation!
