395 was a multi-arts venue and creative space at Unit 4, Old Malt House, Little Ann Street, in St Jude’s, Bristol. It began as 395 Studios, a film and arts space, before Ridwanul Kabir Shakib, known as Ray, and Bristol rapper Kwazi took it over in July 2023. They rebuilt the space with sound, lighting and soundproofing. In 2025, it merged with Art Club MRKT and became Club395.
By day, Club395 operated as a café and workspace; its club room had capacity for 200, with sound and lighting for events. The programme covered techno, garage, drum and bass and hardcore, alongside workshops and arts gatherings. Promoters included midnight request line, 395 Studios and Rare Sounds. Artists who played there included alterum, Soulbee, Ssadcharlie and Sambee. Club395 closed on 28 February 2026. It hosted more than 200 music and arts events, including open decks and cyphers. The venue centred queer communities and supported South Asian, global-majority and grassroots Bristol artists. Music Venue Trust recognised it as a grassroots music venue. Other performers included Dameer, Marns and Nadi, who played there before her debut at Glastonbury’s Silver Hayes stage.
