Aaja Basement

Aaja Basement is an underground music venue at 63–69 Deptford High Street in London, with entry from Comet Place. It began operating in 2024 beneath the former M&S, after Aaja’s bar in Deptford Market Yard shut in 2022 and the operation moved underground. Its launch was marked by an opening event on 3 February 2024. The venue accommodates about 120 people.

Facilities include a recording studio, two radio suites, a bar and spaces for events. Aaja also runs community radio and a record label from the basement. Crates R Us, a second-hand record shop, began trading there in December 2025; the shop had held record fairs at the Deptford High Street address since 2018. Promoters using the venue include Tom Shanx, Here Come The Drumz, Subsidance and The Healing Process. Pressa, Andy Foundations and Joe Joiner are among the artists who have performed there.
