Afters.

Afters. is an electronic-music venue and bar on Dixon Street in central Pōneke, Wellington. It has room for about 180 people and a Third Eye Hi-Fi system with two subwoofers, two kicks and two tops; hire equipment also includes three CDJ 2000 Nexus 2 or newer players and a linked DJM 900 NXS 2 mixer. The venue is a music-culture project intended to provide space for Wellington’s music community.

Afters, Rhythm Output and Ghost Media have run events there, including drum-and-bass nights and local bills such as Sonic Origins. In 2026, the venue hosted the Wellington leg of Soul In Motion’s first Aotearoa residency. Artists who have played at Afters. include seq:uence, Benge, Freeman and Need For Mirrors.
