Akvárium Klub is a live music and club venue at 12 Erzsébet tér in Budapest’s District V. Renovated in April 2014, it was expanded to include several concert halls and other spaces. The venue has four halls: Main Hall, Small Hall, Lokál and Aranyhall Conference Center.
The Main Hall covers 320 square metres, has capacity for 1,280 and uses a Martin Audio sound system. The 230-square-metre Small Hall holds 700 and also has Martin Audio. The Main Hall hosts bands and electronic music events; the Small Hall is used for DJs, bands, niche-genre performances and family events. Lokál was redesigned and renamed in February 2017, with a capacity of 200.
Live acts and DJs from Hungary and abroad share the programme with electronic-music events. Liquicity has run events there, with drum and bass artists including Chris.SU, Ed Rush, Audio and Wilkinson among those who have played.
