Amigo

Amigo is a restaurant and basement club at Stapelplein 31 in Ghent’s Dok-Noord district, within the Old Docks area. It opened on 27 October 2018, combining dining and cocktails upstairs with a basement used for DJ sets and club nights. The restaurant serves seasonal sharing food with Mexican and Middle Eastern influences, while the basement hosts dance events several times a month, including weekend nights.

Its music ranges from 1980s funk to harder techno. Promoters who have run events there include Michiel Schauwvliege, FOOTLOOSE Presents and Headspace. Artists who have played at Amigo include Frontline (BE), MC Tasty, Primitive Instinct, Be and dogger. The basement hosted the Cadans club night on 14 October 2023, with Juul Pence, séa and Kenny Montana.
