Arts Club

Arts Club is at 90 Seel Street in Liverpool’s Ropewalks district, in a building that once housed the Royal Institute of Arts & Science. The site began as a social club and has operated under names including Barfly, The Masque and East Village Arts Club. Its capacity is about 1,400, with a 550-capacity theatre room and a loft space for 350. After closing for a period, Tokyo Industries redesigned the venue, which reopened in September 2023 with a show by The Wombats.

The venue presents live music and club nights, alongside arts and science events, and offers casual dining. Its music spans jazz, rock, indie and electronic styles. Promoters who have run events there include LDN DV8 Bass Face and Maria S. Performers at Arts Club have included Anaïs, Crossy and Mr Traumatik. Paul Weller has also performed there.
