Basement 45

Basement 45 is located at 8 Frogmore Street in Bristol, in cellars beneath the Unity Street building that once served nearby town houses. The building has operated as a music venue since 1961. Basement 45 began trading on 27 February 2009 in the former Mandrake nightclub, with Mark Davis as owner.

The club has two rooms and can accommodate up to 300 people. Room 1 has a L’Acoustics system, while Room 2 uses Turbosound equipment. Its underground dance music includes drum and bass, dubstep, house and electro. Local promoters run regular Friday and Saturday events; those using the venue include The Students' Union at UWE and Kingdom Audio. Performers have included Nicky Blackmarket, Skrillex, LTJ Bukem and Eats Everything, who shared a Saturday residency with Mark Davis during the club’s first two years.
