BERHTA

BERHTA operates as a Washington, D.C., nightclub at 1237 W Street NE, on the former BET Studios property, where BET programming and production once took place. Public events under the BERHTA name began in 2025. The site covers 16,000 square feet and can be arranged for film and television work, concerts or conventions. It is also a multi-acre indoor and outdoor art space, with a dark-room stage, green rooms, and facilities for hair, makeup and dressing.

The Soundstage is the main room, with BERHTA, BETTE and open-air BANANAS among the venue’s stages. Capacity is about 1,500. The indoor audio system uses large-format stereo point-source design; floating floors, double walls and blast doors provide sound isolation. Its four-point system uses Pioneer and Gary Stewart equipment. Dominic Detetta and 3D Productions have promoted nights there, and drum and bass and garage DJs including Bladerunner, Danny Byrd, DJ Q and DJ Ss have played. In April 2026, BERHTA hosted the Fluffy Cloud sound-and-light installation.
