Billy Bootleggers is a live-music bar and club at 13-15 Weekday Cross in Nottingham, above a dive bar. The building was occupied by lace maker J.W. Bagley in 1894; the venue has previously traded as Filthy’s and Percy Picklebackers. It was announced as a 250-capacity venue for the former Gypsy Lounge site; it now holds about 200.
The downstairs main bar is complemented by an upstairs room, and the venue has a house PA. Its live programme spans rock, alternative, jungle and hardcore, alongside club nights and performances seven nights a week. Promoters running events there include Latebra, Rizolution and Licked. AMNESIA and R2R are among the artists to have played at Billy Bootleggers.
