Bloom Nightclub was a club at 919 Fourth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, downtown San Diego, occupying a subterranean space in the Lawyer’s Block, a building dating to 1889. The venue had previously operated as Belo and Bassmnt before Dr. Jack Wasserman reopened it as Bloom in 2022. In December 2023, Wasserman sold the business to City In Motion LLC, whose ownership team included Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella and Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino; the venue was remodelled after the change of ownership.
With capacity for about 500, Bloom hosted house, techno, trance and bass music. Bloom DTSD and Insomniac Events promoted nights there, with Insomniac’s curated programming using brands such as Dreamstate and Bassrush, alongside Lost In Dreams and Basscon. Performers included IMANU, Culture Shock, Infected Mushroom and Laidback Luke. Bloom closed in March 2026, after announcing its final night for 28 March.
