Bourbon On Division

Bourbon On Division is a bar and performance venue on West Division Street in Chicago’s Wicker Park. It opened in 2017 after construction lasting more than a year, in the space previously occupied by The Shambles, which had earlier housed JuneCat. A $2 million renovation created The Bourbon Upstairs, an event room that began operating in February 2018 and was designed for gatherings of up to 150 people.

Downstairs, the pub-style bar has room for meals, dancing, arcade games, pool and darts. The second-floor live-music hall has a stage and service bar; its upstairs private-events area had a modular stage, and the third floor served as a green room for musicians. A mural by 15 local artists covers the rear entrance. The venue hosts live performances and DJ nights spanning house, techno, garage and footwork, and event promotions have featured a Funktion-One sound system. Promoters include delamota and planet home. Artists who have played there include Alfonz De La Mota, guesst, Mandidextrous and Silent Hype.
