Jungle Cakes Halloween 360
Brixton Jamm · London, United Kingdom
22:00 – 05:00
Located at 261 Brixton Road in Brixton, South London, Brixton Jamm is an independent music venue in a building dating from 1750. Its capacity is about 750, and its four spaces are the Club, Courtyard, Beach and Bar; the Bar has also functioned as a second club room. A retractable roof covers the Beach, where two tons of sand lie across the floor. Refurbishment in 2016 installed a Martin Audio MLA Compact system in the Club and raised the main room’s capacity by 100. A custom DJ setup in the Courtyard provides sound in every direction.
The venue’s bookings encompass house, jungle, disco and drum and bass. Its events include Craig Charles’ Funk and Soul Club and Deep Medi showcases in London. Jungle Splash and Jungle Cakes are among the promoters that have staged events there. Performers have included A Guy Called Gerald, Ed Solo, The Ragga Twins and DJ Brockie. The Martin Audio MLA Compact installation was the first of its kind in the UK.
