Buzzworks

Buzzworks is a sports bar, craft-beer bar and event space at 365 11th Street in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood, with room for about 200 people. Its industrial steel-frame structure was first built on 6th Street and relocated to 11th Street in 1950. Earlier uses included heavy fabrication and forging, followed by a welding shop, motorcycle repair, magazine printing, construction storage, carpentry and a pop-up thrift store. Vladimir R. Cood founded Buzzworks and also founded Home Base, Whisper Ultra Lounge and Butter.

The split-level interior includes a mezzanine and a video wall above the main bar. Games have included pinball, a video arcade with more than 600 games, pool tables and foosball; screens also show live sports, and the venue has 40 rotating beer taps. Friday-night Afterdark events and Saturday pop-ups have featured rotating programming, while DeepLegends and Opportunity Knockz have promoted events there. Artists who have played at Buzzworks include SYKOTIK and DIRTYBEATS, and the venue hosted the Tuesday-night Geeks Who Drink pub quiz in 2016.
