Café Muffathalle is an event room within the Muffatwerk complex at Zellstraße 4 in Munich. The 150-square-metre space occupies a former turbine hall of a hydroelectric power station and is entered from the Muffathalle foyer. The café is also known as the Muffatcafé, while the Muffathalle opened as a cultural venue in 1993. The room is used for small performances and readings, as well as clubbing and DJ events; themed nights take place on weekends.
Its sound equipment includes four Nexo PS 15 speakers and an LSR 1200 bass unit, alongside two Technics 1210 turntables, two Pioneer CDJ-1000 MKII players and a Pioneer DJM-700 mixer. The monthly Party-Keller night featured Florian Keller playing funk, hip-hop, reggae and drum and bass. Phader and Pythius have also performed at Café Muffathalle.
