Catacombs Nightclub

Catacombs Nightclub is a nightclub at 10 The Octagon in Dunedin, on New Zealand’s South Island. It opened in 2019 in the former 10Bar premises, after renovations, and reopened under the Catacombs name. The building had previously been used as a morgue; Andre Shi owned Catacombs and Vault 21 at the time of its reopening. Renovations added new floors, white marble bars and macabre decorations drawing on the building’s history and the Paris catacombs.

The venue has a dance floor, VIP lounge and booths, and accommodates 504 people. Its nine subwoofers include four built into the stage and five in the ceiling, with RCF 8006 AS subs and JBL VTX-F15 speakers in the rig. Friday programming includes live gigs, with club nights on Saturdays. CreamEventsNZ has run events there, and artists who have played include Duskee, GLXY, Monrroe and K Motionz.
