CEL

CEL is a club at Dworcowa 4 in Katowice, occupying the city’s historic Old Railway Station building. It followed the closure of Katowice club INQbator, and is co-owned and managed by Michal Piwowar, who also runs club P23.

The venue has two stages, the Tunel and the Salon, alongside lounge areas. Its long, narrow main dance floor uses a KV2 system with two ES1.0 mid-high speakers and four ES1.8 subwoofers; the second room has a system built around Void Acoustics Venu and Stasys equipment. Brighter effect lighting is also installed. Programming covers techno, house, electro and drum & bass, with concerts, workshops and exhibitions among the other events. Drum and bass and bass-music nights have been run with local collectives drum’a’turgia and Fisherman’s Bass Club, while Neurodydaktyka has also promoted events there. Artists who have played include Adnable, Kaj.O, shhron and Solin.
