Chinastraat

Chinastraat is a former factory venue at Chinastraat 1 in Ghent’s Muide district, beside the Houtdok. It opened in 2016, with an industrial hall, garden and flexible spaces for concerts, club nights and label takeovers. The site includes a main room of about 450 square metres, a smaller 150-square-metre room, a multipurpose hangar and an exhibition area; capacity is about 350.

The main room’s system comprises L-Acoustics A15 Focus speakers, four KS21 subwoofers and X8 and A10 Focus fills. Its DJ booth has Allen & Heath Xone:96 and Pioneer DJM-900NXS2 mixers. Music ranges from techno to drum and bass, with nights run by promoters including Ready To Roll, Let It Roll, Underground DnB and RTR Events. Amoss, Bredren, Lavance and Objectiv have played there. After Jan De Nul acquired the site, new operators secured it for temporary use; the venue reopened under their management on 4 April 2025.
