Club Guesthouse opened in Bucharest in 2010, first operating from the smaller Traian 42 venue. It became an incubator for the emerging Romanian minimal scene. In 2020, the club left its former site, whose building was slated for demolition and housing redevelopment, and moved to a larger downtown location at Splaiul Unirii 160. The present venue has room for about 800 people.
House, techno and minimal feature in its programme, alongside extended DJ sets and long daytime parties. The room has acoustic treatment and a four-point Funktion-One system. In 2016, the club upgraded its sound equipment and installed acoustic treatment at its former venue, which had capacity for 400. Romanian DJs Rhadoo, Pedro and Raresh appear regularly, while the programme also includes younger Romanian performers and international guests. Promoters that have held events there include Quite Lucky, Drum & Bass Origins, ELLEN Recordings and Livetickets. The 2025 documentary If These Walls Could Talk marked the club’s 15th anniversary and featured its founders and artists associated with the scene. Club Guesthouse also has a Guesthouse Podcast Series.
