Club Lucia

Club Lucia is located at Stadtbahnbögen 24/25, near the U6 Thaliastraße station in Vienna. It opened on August 15, 2025, taking over the site of Gürtelbräu. Katharina Lacic, who had worked there as a waitress before becoming a co-operator, developed the Lucia concept with a business partner after visiting a venue in Budapest. Its name refers to Saint Lucia, patron saint of light.

The venue has a stage, DJ booth and sound system, with capacity for events of up to 200 people. Its program spans indie, rock, hip-hop, house and techno, alongside readings, screenings, theatre, workshops and poetry slams. Promoters that have held events there include Civic Collective and FUELIZED; artists who have performed include Acris and con:volute. Club Lucia features immersive lighting. Its sustainability measures include green electricity, LED lighting, reusable deposit cups and regional suppliers.
