Club Paula is housed in a former transformer building in Dresden’s industrial district, at Meschwitzstr. 14. It opened in Dresden in 2004 and was previously known as Whatever, adopting the Club Paula name in 2010. Steffen Glaeser is its artistic director and managing director. The venue has room for 199 people. Its program ranges across techno and house, as well as drum and bass, concerts and parties, with around 100 concerts and parties each year. Event organizers have included ZBL Events and Stonecreek Crew, and Chris Liebing, André Galluzzi and Extrawelt have performed there.
