Corsica Studios

Corsica Studios was an independent arts organisation and club at 5 Farrell Court, in Elephant and Castle, London. Amanda Moss and Adrian Jones began putting on events in temporary London venues in 1999; an earlier space on Corsica Street, Highbury, supplied the project’s name. The organisation started as a community arts space for exhibitions, performances and creative work, before club nights took a greater role. It moved to Elephant and Castle in 2002, first operating in the railway arches as Corsica Arts Club.

The venue occupied two arches behind the former shopping centre. Its main space combined live music and a bar, with a smaller studio beside it, and its capacity was about 350. A Funktion-One system was installed in 2007; in 2018, the main room’s setup included four Evo 6 tops, six BR118 subwoofers and two Res 2 booth speakers. Boiler Room used Corsica Studios as an early base from 2010.

Programming included acid techno and jungle, with club nights such as Rupture, Jaded, I Love Acid and Low Life. Rupture brought its jungle and drum-and-bass night to the venue in 2008; other promoters included Insomnia London, Milkshake and Vampire Records. Jeff Mills, Björk, Sunn O))) and Four Tet performed there. Corsica Studios announced that it would close in its then-current form at the end of March 2026, after 24 years at the Elephant and Castle site.
