Cross Club

Cross Club is located at Plynární 1096/23 in Prague’s Holešovice district. František Sádra Chmelík and friends founded it in 2002, first using it as a private gathering place for DJs and other Prague creatives. It grew from a small community space and tea room into a venue spread across three floors. Scrap metal and other reused materials make up much of its steampunk-influenced interior and exterior design.

Music programming includes drum and bass, dubstep, techno and reggae, alongside concerts and other alternative events. The venue has two indoor stages, bars, a café, a restaurant, a theatre, rehearsal studios, outdoor seating and an outdoor stage. Promoters that have run events there include the club's own Crossclub team, Zonal Recordings and Blender Collective. Performers have included Camo & Krooked, Zion Train, Jah Shaka and Dom & Roland. Cross Club has also hosted presentations, discussions, screenings and readings, often on social topics. One hall has capacity for 230 people.
