Dachstock Reitschule

Dachstock Reitschule is at Neubrückstrasse 8 in Bern, within the Reitschule cultural centre, and has operated as a music venue since 1987. Its programme combines concerts and parties, with styles ranging from rock and punk to hip-hop, jazz, drum and bass, and techno. It is run by a collective with grassroots-democratic decision-making, and its programme aims for a rough balance between concerts and parties.

The room’s acoustics are associated with its timber-built roof and wooden floor; its capacity is 700. Verein Dachstock has organized events there. Mouthwatering held regular club nights at the venue by 1998 and marked five years of events there in 2003. Artists who have played at Dachstock Reitschule include Alibi, Prolix and Stamina MC. In 2004, Dachstock began a recurring dancehall and ragga party series with Zurich’s Bogen13 club.
