Darby Street Station is an event and function venue at 16 Darby Street in Auckland’s CBD. It occupies part of the Darby Building, constructed as two warehouses in 1900. A disco and restaurant opened in the basement in 1976, followed by a cabaret in 1980; a new dance floor was added there in 2002. The level-one and basement premises were refurbished as Bar 101 in 2013.
The venue has capacity for about 400 and an installed PA with JBL VerTec 4886 line-array speakers, VerTec 4883 subwoofers and VTX B28 subwoofers beneath the stage. Dark Machine Records has run events there, spanning drum and bass and other club music. Artists who have played include ShockOne, Soul Mass Transit System, NOTION and REAPER. A 2024 event at the venue featured house and electronica.
