Dark Horse Moseley is a bar and live-music venue at 145 Alcester Road in Moseley, Birmingham, in a Victorian-fronted building. It opened in July 2014 on the former site of the Mo’ Dough pop-up pizzeria; before that, the building had been a pub called the Cross. The building stands at the edge of Moseley Village.
The venue has two bars, one on each floor, with an upstairs events room and capacity for about 250. It serves craft beers. Its programme spans soul, funk and disco nights, local-band gigs, comedy and club events. Scratch Club moved there after The Yardbird closed, while Black Country Beats has also run events at the venue. Scratch Club began at The Yardbird as a hip-hop night and marked its tenth anniversary at the venue in 2016. Past bookings have included Plaid, Jehst, Akala and DJ QBert.
