Death Disco

Death Disco is a Bristol bar serving cocktails that also hosts music and club nights, at 12 St Stephens Street in Crusader House, within the Old City. Bristol hospitality group Hyde & Co created the venue, which opened on 8 December 2023. Its concept draws on Manhattan’s musical subculture of the late 1970s, and it occupies underground vaults once used by Bar Latina and the Doghouse. A tunnel-like layout includes a bar, dance floor and private event space, with capacity for up to 180 people.

Music programming has ranged across house, funk, garage, drum and bass and disco. The venue has hosted LGBTQ+ nights, drag shows and weekend DJ takeovers. Big Up! has promoted events there, and performers have included Sol Brown, Lily Huu and SIS:DEM.
