Depot Mayfield

Depot Mayfield is a multi-use cultural venue at 11 Baring St in Manchester, beside Manchester Piccadilly. It occupies the vaults and buildings of the former Mayfield railway station. The station began operating as a relief stop in 1910, with passenger services ending in 1960. Royal Mail later used the site for parcels handling, closing its depot there in 1986.

The venue began hosting events in 2019, launching with Manchester Pride Live. The Warehouse Project also moved its events to the site that year and has held seasons there. Venue spaces comprise the Depot main room, the Archive and the Concourse; capacity is about 1,000 people. The Warehouse Project’s seasons have included sets by Aphex Twin, The Prodigy and Skepta.

Events at Depot Mayfield have covered house, techno, drum and bass and electro. Artists who have performed there include Andy C, Camo & Krooked and Circadian. The venue has also hosted Homobloc, an offshoot of Homoelectric.
