Digital

Digital is located at Times Square in Newcastle upon Tyne and opened in the final week of July 2004. For its launch, owner Aaron Mellor arranged for a Funktion-One Dancestack to be flown from Miami. Early nights included Café Mambo and MOTION, while Shindig moved to the club in 2005. Its musical range has spanned house, techno, drum and bass and dubstep, alongside DJ nights and live performances.

The venue can accommodate about 1,400 people and later expanded to four rooms, with a VIP area overlooking the main club. Think Tank was created for emerging artists and live shows. A summer 2024 refurbishment brought new lighting and an L-Acoustics system to the redesigned main room. Shindig and Ape-X have been regular club nights, and promoters have included Live Nation and Soundcrash. Artists who have performed there include Bladerunner, Inja, Kings Of The Rollers and P Money.
