Elysia

Elysia is a club in Basel’s Dreispitz district, at Frankfurt-Strasse 36. It opened in summer 2016 in the former Basel-City-Studios building, developed by a group led by operator Guy Blattmann. The venue spans three floors: the Club, Studio and Rooftop. Its main room covers about 200 square metres and has a capacity of around 300, with one dancefloor.

The dancefloor and Lambda Labs system were designed as a combined sound-focused project. The system has 12 subwoofers and delivers more than 100,000 watts. Elysia’s music has ranged across techno, electro, house and downtempo, with the club itself among the promoters running events there. Artists to have played include Buunshin, S.P.Y, Was A Be and DJ MELL G. Call buttons around the venue let guests alert staff when they need assistance. Its residents include Agonis and Cepheì.
