essaim

essaim began operating on 31 October 2024 at 14 Rue Philippe de Girard, in Paris’s 10th arrondissement. The site had previously housed Club Carbone and Bisou Club. Concrete alumni Brice Coudert and Jonathan Malaisé established the venue with David Bossan and Tommy Gin, while Coudert and Antoine Hernandez oversee its programme.

With a capacity of 400, the club has a DJ booth at floor level and an L-Acoustics system adapted from the one used at Carbone. Its electronic music programme features longer sets from fewer performers. During the week, the space also functions as Main Room, a concert hall with 350 seats. Architect Dorothée Hachiken contributed to the dancefloor design. Artists who have performed at essaim include 33EMYBW, Lisa More, Special Request and Anetha. In August 2025, essaim introduced after climax, an after-hours party concept, and presented its first edition.
