Expirat Halele Carol

Expirat Halele Carol is a bar, club, concert venue and terrace at Str. Constantin Istrati 1 in Bucharest’s Sector 4. Its first Romanian operation was a bar in Vama Veche, dating to 2002; Andrei and Raluca Șoșa founded the Bucharest club, which opened in 2003. That club closed in November 2015. The Halele Carol venue occupies the Compressor Hall of the former E. Wolff factory, established in 1877. Its terrace began operating on July 1, 2016, and the indoor space opened on October 13 that year.

Sala Compresoarelor, the main indoor room, accommodates up to 500 people and is equipped for concerts, DJ sets and other events. In summer, the terrace features DJ performances and acoustic live music. Programming includes concerts, electronic-music club nights and multidisciplinary events, as well as conferences, screenings and performances, with local bands and DJs among the performers. Dillinja and Limewax are among the acts that have performed at Expirat Halele Carol.
