Filmarche

Filmarche is an event venue at Lahnstrasse 25 in Neukölln, Berlin, with room for about 200 people. Its associated film school, a registered organization, began in Berlin in 2001 and was formally registered in 2002. The school teaches directing, screenwriting, cinematography, production, editing and documentary directing, and is Europe’s largest self-organized film school. A planned move to a production hall at the former Kindl brewery, within the Vollgut cooperative, was intended to secure new premises. Events have used two floors, with DJs from varied musical backgrounds. Jay has promoted events there, and artists who have played include GOOSINDRA, antilophobia and DJ Mo.
