FORGE

FORGE is a nightclub and events venue at 148 Effingham Road in Sheffield. It opened in September 2022 in a former Victorian industrial building used for steel forging, overlooking the Sheffield and Tinsley Canal. Duplex steel forms were made there until 2018, before the building was converted for events. The site includes a main warehouse, an outdoor Courtyard beside the canal, and the Workroom, formerly a stable and workshop. The main warehouse can hold up to 1,000 people.

A Pioneer Audio system, using XY-series cabinets and subwoofers, serves the venue. Its programme spans techno, house, jungle and drum and bass, alongside live music, arts, food, boxing and exhibitions. FORGE, Raze Sound System, Unity Underground and Dean OC have all run events there. The opening party in September 2022 featured Dax J, IMOGEN and Boxia with Sheffield DJs. Artists who have played there include Charla Green, Samurai Breaks and Mandidextrous.
